For Lady's Sake was founded after a Dollar Tree store run by Candice Crawford. A young lady who was standing outside of the store approached her, and Candice thought this would be like every other encounter she had with a person experiencing homelessness -- an ask for money or food. As she reached for her purse to help, the young lady had a different request. She was in need of period products and did not want to soil some of the only clothes she owned. This sparked an idea to fill that need for so many in need, and Candice erected For Lady's Sake in response. Through our strategic partnership with Jacob's Ladder Outreach, Goodwill and many other local organizations, we've been able to provide women with period products on a weekly basis with the aim of expanding our impact.
For Lady’s Sake is committed to providing quality sanitary products to women and gender-diverse people in need. It is within a person's natural makeup to experience the menstrual cycle; people who are homeless are not exempt from that time of the month. For Lady’s Sake will partner with the community in order to make period products readily available for people in need across the city.
At For Lady's Sake, we’re raising awareness for the need for access to feminine hygiene products for women and gender diverse people who are homeless across the community.
We hold ourselves to the highest standards of integrity, ensuring that every action we take is rooted in honesty, transparency, and ethical conduct. We are committed to upholding the trust placed in us by our community and stakeholders, fostering an environment of integrity in all aspects of our work.
We are deeply committed to being a catalyst for positive change in our community, prioritizing the needs of those we serve above all else. We approach our work with empathy, compassion, and a steadfast commitment to making a meaningful impact in the lives of women
in need.
We believe in rolling up our sleeves and getting the job done. We are not afraid to tackle challenges head-on, to confront adversity with determination, and to take decisive action to advance our cause. With a "do the work" mentality, we remain focused on delivering tangible results and creating meaningful change in the world around us.
A person who admires their own abilities and qualities is a person who can do anything! Respect can be given or received and a person with self-respect knows that they should be treated in an appropriate way.
For Lady's Sake embraces diversity as a fundamental strength and cornerstone of our organization. We believe in the power of diverse perspectives, experiences, and backgrounds to drive innovation, creativity, and inclusivity in everything we do. We are committed to fostering a culture that celebrates diversity and promotes equity and inclusion in all aspects of our work.
When a person is empowered, their self-esteem is boosted and they feel more in control of their destiny. An empowered person makes decisions and has more opportunities to build and grow.
Feeling a sense of pride is imperative to increased quality of life for any individual. A person's self-worth, or lack thereof, can make or break their spirit. A dignified person will conquer the world!
